Richard "Opa" Cooper
Advisory Board Member/ Community Prayer Director

Colonel, Chaplain Corps US Army (Ret.) & Presbyterian Minister (Ret.)

Rich Cooper (aka Opa) is retired twice from the U.S. army as a Chaplain (Colonel) and executive Presbyter of Presbytery of Western Kentucky. He studied at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, the same place as Fred Rogers (Yes, Mr. Rogers). As Rich explains, Rogers would visit the seminary now and then and on one lucky visit he taught Rich's oldest son (who was a child at the time, obviously) to snap! Rich brings a wealth of God's Wisdom and discernment to our efforts. And just like Mr. Rogers, Rich wants to help our communities stay connected, kind, faithful, grateful, and most of all - HOPEful.
