Who:  The Hope Packed Project (HPP), is a valley nonprofit that is “Packing HOPE, One Project at a Time.”

What: The HPP brings kids (up 18 years of age) hope and joy in the form of goodie-filled Hope Tote Packs – including items chosen to fit a child’s unique interests, hobbies, needs and requests. These “Hope-sters” (as we like to call them) are U.S. children or teens who are facing adversity – whether because of environmental, familial, physical/health, or mental challenges.

Where: Children and their families all across the US, but we are located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

When: Chosen monthly, each Hope-ster receives a special Hope Pack that is packed by The Hope Packed Project and the assistance of "Hope Helpers" (individuals, families, businesses, etc) as well as shout-outs on social media for their awesomeness!  This specific project we have titled "Hopester of the Month".

Why:  Hope-sters have chosen to accept their circumstances and live life with optimism and positivity – as we like to put it, finding the blessings amid brokenness.  We believe they serve as models to the community, and we love bringing community together to celebrate them.  When someone thinks of the HPP, we hope they think of an effort to celebrate life despite difficult seasons and building community.

How:  Want to keep the chain reaction of HOPE going and get involved with our outreach efforts? Check out our "How To Get Involved" page. We love partnering with anyone and everyone.  We promise, everyone has a place in one of our projects.

❤️ PLANTING THE SEED.

Hello. We’re the Coopers - Aaron, Jill, Levi and Asher. The Hope Packed Project is a “grass roots” nonprofit. It began when our older son, Levi, spotted a homeless gentleman on a street corner holding a sign for help. This sparked questions of curiosity. After explaining to Levi that this person was in need and didn’t have the comforts and many necessities of life, he insisted on packing this man a lunch. We went home and did just that, and this act of kindness became a monthly ritual in our household. Before long, other families heard of this simple act of kindness and wanted to get involved as well. We began posting and sharing this community outreach on our Facebook page. The message of HOPE packed in a sack lunch soon grew. So much so, we were asked to visit a few churches and schools to share our simple, but impactful, efforts. Our Facebook page was originally created as a platform for us to share how our family and other families were coming together to help others by packing lunches for those experiencing homelessness. What started as a small act of kindness, has blossomed into a chain reaction to bring HOPE to many, through what we have named, The Hope Packed Project (HPP).

❤️ GROWING.

Packing lunches for those experiencing homelessness was the seed that eventually led to a shift in our outreach. Due to illness in our own family, and the health diagnosis's/ conditions of dear friends and their children, an organic shift began to occur. Soon, our focus became crystal clear. The Hope Packed Project began to blossom into an effort to meet the needs of youth going through a chronic or terminal illness. Often, these young individuals have missed several events and activities with their peers due to their illnesses and treatments, something many easily take for granted. With treatments, comes hospital visits and possibly long stays that can limit them to outside connection and entertainment. That’s where we get to work!

❤️ MISSION.

Our mission at HPP is to recognize these “HOPE-sters” (as we like to call them) and celebrate them with the gift of a “Hope Pack” to lift their spirits, while also showering them with accolades for their extraordinary courage, strength and optimistic attitude. Our other goal is to get community members involved in our outreach efforts any way we can, as we love to connect people for common good and positive growth.

Thanks for stopping by to learn more. We greatly appreciate your support.

Continue to stay HOPEful and spread “HOPEiness” to others.

In Him,
The Coopers & The Hope Packed Project Team ✌️

“In the end, when you leave this world, the only things you can take with you are the things you’ve packed inside your heart” - Unknown

Who or what do YOU entrust your HOPE?  Our charity knows where we put ours, and we don't stutter when we say...God!

The Hope Packed Project’s logo consists of an anchor to represent the authentic and one-of-a-kind HOPE our charity is founded upon: our salvation in Jesus Christ.

As a Christian nonprofit, Hebrews 6:19 has become the influential verse of our mission. It reads, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.” In that, we can place our hope in a lot of things of this world, only to discover none of them are as secure as the promise of hope God offers us ALL. Just like building a house on sand isn’t a wise choice for a foundation, nothing of this world can withstand the storms of life and will fall short, except God. Like the anchor of a boat, God secures us and keeps us steady when the raging sea of life hits us and wants to take us under. He is our rock, He is our anchor, and He is our only salvation.

Our blue boy anchor logo is named after our Hopester, Carter. Carter was diagnosed with cancer at 2.5 and finished treatment in 2019 when he was 6. He is now healthy and thriving, with a love of playing soccer and Roblox video games. His mom, Sarah, serves on the HPP Board and has a huge heart for helping families going through any health challenge, especially children’s cancer.

Our pink girl anchor logo is named after our Hopester Ruby, aka “a rare Ruby.” Ruby was born with hypomyelination with atrophy of the basal ganglia and cerebellum (H-ABC), a progressive neurological condition. Children affected by H-ABC slowly lose control of their motor skills and ultimately cannot walk, talk, or sit on their own. Despite her health challenges, Ruby finds a ton of reasons to smile and stay hopeful! And in December of 2020, she celebrated her 6th birthday!

The Hope Packed Project welcomes anyone to become a link in our chain of HOPE to have a positive impact on our communities.

BUILDING HOPE PACKS:
  • Hope Helpers can “adopt” a Hope-ster of the Month by helping us shower them with a Hope Pack consisting of items/ gifts that align with the child’s personal interests and hobbies (this involves spending at least $50)
  • We encourage Hope Helpers to also add a personal touch like a card/ letter/ picture/ drawing to share with the Hope-ster and their family. Our goal is to create a fruitful connection between the Hope-sters family and the Hope Helpers (I.E. children becoming pen pals)
  • Depending on the project, Hope Helpers can also support the Hopester's family in various ways, based on their specific needs.

FUNDRAISERS, EVENTS & PARTNERSHIPS:

We host various fundraisers & events based on the month and project. We love to get the community involved in any way... from partnering with schools/ churches and having the children make/ sell "Hope Soaps" to Dog Biscuits, to "HOPE ROCKS!" garden stones. Get Involved/ Stay In Touch image
Thank you for nominating someone special who deserves the recognition of a “Hope-Ster”.  Your participation in our efforts is starting a chain reaction of bringing families and community members together to keep HOPE alive and celebrated, especially in the hearts and lives of our youth going through difficult circumstances.

Here at The Hope Packed Project, we define a Hope-Ster as a child or teen living in the US who is experiencing any type of health challenges, such as a diagnosis, illness, or disability. Instead of giving up, and being bitter or angry, a Hope-ster chooses to stay hopeful, and remain positive while continuing to do their best while facing obstacles.

Please fill out the sheet below to help us create a Hope-Pack and celebrate them appropriately. Please note, we like to give accolades to our Hope-Sters of the month on our Facebook/ Instagram accounts. If this is an issue for any reason, please let us know.

Thank you,

The Hope Packed Project Team
